Baseball Recap: Shenandoah Zeps vs. Monroe Central Seminoles

Shenandoah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 4-1 to the Monroe Central Seminoles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Seminoles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 on April 2nd.

Shenandoah saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Forshey, who went 1-for-3 with four stolen bases and one run. Drew Wildroudt was another, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Shenandoah's record is now 0-14. As for Monroe Central, the victory snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 7-7 record.

Coming up, Shenandoah will be playing at home against Coshocton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Monroe Central, they are taking a road trip to face off against Buckeye Trail at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
