Basketball Game Preview: Kiski Area Cavaliers vs. New Castle Hurricanes

The Kiski Area Cavaliers will venture away from home to challenge the New Castle Hurricanes at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Kiski Area is leaving town to face New Castle after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. The Cavaliers were just a bucket shy of victory last Tuesday and fell 3-2 to Baldwin. The Cavaliers haven't had much luck with the Highlanders recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for New Castle against Bishop Canevin on Saturday as the team secured a 72-28 victory.

Kiski Area beat New Castle 56-45 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cavaliers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
