Volleyball Recap: Carl Junction Comes Up Short

Carl Junction was the 2-1 winner over Jefferson City when they last played one another back in October of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Jays by a score of 2-1 on Thursday.

Maddy Huffman paced Carl Junction's offense, picking up 12 kills. Huffman got some help from Audrey Besperat and her 14 assists. Kate Odaffer controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Carl Junction's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Jefferson City, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Carl Junction has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Rock Bridge on the 4th. As for Jefferson City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Marshfield on the 4th.
