Basketball Game Preview: Parkview Christian Patriots vs. Omaha Nation Chiefs

The Parkview Christian Patriots are taking a road trip to face off against the Omaha Nation Chiefs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Parkview Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Parkview Christian turned things around against Hamburg on Monday. They walked away with a 69-59 win over the Wildcats.

Tairren Scott was his usual excellent self, going 14 for 25 on his way to 37 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Guilherme De-Lima was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.

Parkview Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 22 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Omaha Nation played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 70-36 loss at the hands of Oakland-Craig. The match marked the Chiefs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Omaha Nation's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Parkview Christian, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Parkview Christian strolled past Omaha Nation in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 83-65. The rematch might be a little tougher for Parkview Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
