            Baseball Preview: Forest Wildcats vs. Oakleaf Knights        
        
		
        
        
            The Forest Wildcats will challenge the Oakleaf Knights at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many  runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
On Thursday, Forest didn't have quite enough to beat North Marion and fell  3-2. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Forest got a good showing from  Collin Hager, who   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Hager has been consistent : he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time he's  pitched this season.
 On the hitting side,  Robert Kohler made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 3-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI.
Meanwhile, Oakleaf was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They were two  runs away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   2-0 heartbreaker at the hands of St. Joseph Academy. The  contest marked the first time this year in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.
  Jacob McClintic was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off   six  hits.
 Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Oakleaf, their loss dropped their record down to 10-15.
