Savoonga dropped down to 4-7 on Wednesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They took a blow against the Shishmaref Northern Lights, falling 85-45. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Northern Lights this season, with their most recent defeat being a 85-52 loss back in January.

As for Shishmaref, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-3. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 29 points or more this season.

Jinsu Kim went supernova, dropping a double-double with 20 points and 13 boards. Another player making a difference was Norman Stenek, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds.

Savoonga does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Shishmaref, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Gambell at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday.
