Softball Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short

Mountain View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 5-1 to the Heritage Timberwolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Timberwolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-4 two weeks ago.

Laila Reive was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one double.

Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Heritage, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-7 record.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mountain View will challenge rival Kelso at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Heritage is set to face off against their familiar foe Evergreen at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
