Baseball Recap: Lodi Has No Trouble Against West

Lodi got themselves on the board against West on Wednesday, but West never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Wolfpack with a sharp 10-0 win. The Flames might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by six runs or more this season.

Landon Beasley was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Noah Hufford, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Lodi always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .542. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West only posted an OBP of .211.

Lodi pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10-1 record this season.

Lodi will have a chance to go back-to-back against West: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
