Volleyball Recap: Athens Wildcats vs. Troy Trojans
Athens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Troy Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss on September 6th.
Athens started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-16, 25-18, 25-21.
Athens' defeat dropped their record down to 1-9-1. As for Troy, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 13-2-1 record this season.
