Baseball Game Preview: Robinson Bulldogs vs. South Rowan Raiders

Robinson is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Friday. They will host the South Rowan Raiders at 7:00 p.m. South Rowan took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Robinson, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Robinson needed a bit of extra time to put away West Cabarrus. They skirted past the Wolverines 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted against the Wolverines since April 26, 2021.

Robinson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aury Greenfield, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave Greenfield a new career-high. Another was Jace Abraham, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, South Rowan unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against West Rowan on Tuesday, falling 11-1. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Robinson skirted past South Rowan 10-8 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Will Robinson repeat their success, or does South Rowan have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
