Softball Recap: Minnechaug Regional Falcons vs. South Hadley Tigers
Minnechaug Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the South Hadley Tigers. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 5-1.
Abby Peyman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Veronica Ouimet made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Aezlin Rost, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
