Baseball Preview: Lancaster Legends vs. Orchard Park Quakers

The Lancaster Legends will face off against the Orchard Park Quakers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Lancaster took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over Depew.

Michael Falls was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Lancaster is undefeated when Falls posts two or more runs, but 3-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew King, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Orchard Park narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Hamburg 3-2.

Luke Staniszewski was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.
