The Lancaster Legends will face off against the Orchard Park Quakers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Lancaster took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over Depew.

Michael Falls was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Lancaster is undefeated when Falls posts two or more runs, but 3-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew King, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Orchard Park narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Hamburg 3-2.
Luke Staniszewski was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other pitching news, Lincoln Tranquilli looked comfortable as he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Zachary Huber, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. That home run was his first of the season.
Lancaster's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Orchard Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Lancaster has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Orchard Park struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
