Baseball Game Preview: Blake Yellow Jackets vs. Plant Panthers

Blake hasn't had much luck against Plant recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Blake will head out on the road to face off against Plant at 7:00 p.m. Blake has given up an average of 10.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Blake is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-3 to Spoto, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Blake saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashton Goggins, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits Goggins has posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Plant unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 8-3 to Strawberry Crest.

Blake's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Plant, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-3.

Blake suffered a grim 13-2 defeat to Plant in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Blake avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
