Basketball Recap: Seneca Comes Up Short

Seneca was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 57-27 loss at the hands of the Eisenhower Knights. The Bobcats were down 50-23 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Seneca's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gt Rupp, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 10 points. That was a full 37% of Seneca's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Seneca's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Eisenhower, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.

Seneca will take on Titusville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eisenhower, they will challenge Mercyhurst Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eisenhower knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Mercyhurst Prep likes a good challenge.
