Basketball Recap: Leake County Comes Up Short

If Leake County was riding high fresh off their 89-19 takedown of Mississippi School for the Deaf last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Leake County Gators fell to the Taylorsville Tartars 56-52. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 48-44 two weeks ago.

Leake County's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Taylorsville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-12 record this season.

Leake County will take on Mount Olive at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. Taylorsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
