Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Immokalee). They blew past the Naples Classical Academy 24-1 on Tuesday. With that win, the Indians brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

Immokalee got a massive performance out of Diego Gutierrez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three hits gave Gutierrez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruben Anzualda, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Immokalee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .552. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Immokalee pushed their record up to 8-10 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.2 runs over those games. As for Naples Classical, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Looking ahead, Immokalee will take on East Lee County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Naples Classical, they will challenge Babcock at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Academy's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trailblazers have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
