Football Recap: Godley Comes Up Short

Godley played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Stephenville Yellow Jackets/Honeybees and fell 45-6. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

Ryder Papasan threw for 119 yards and one touchdown. Parker Bowling was his top target, picking up 38 receiving yards. On the ground, Adam Pempsell rushed for 69 yards.

Godley is on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3. As for Stephenville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Godley will take on Life Waxahachie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Stephenville, they will face off against Wylie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
