Baseball Recap: Vallivue Starts Season with Win at Home

Vallivue gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They never let the Meridian Warriors get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.

Clay Cope was a standout: he scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Eli Daniel, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Vallivue always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Meridian only posted an OBP of .211.

Vallivue will have a chance to go back-to-back against Meridian: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
