Football Recap: Carrollton Takes a Loss

Carrollton fell victim to Richmond and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Spartans 49-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost seven in a row.

Carrollton's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Richmond, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Carrollton will square off against Lexington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans will be up against the Minutemen's rather soft defense (which has allowed 46.67 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Richmond, they will challenge Holden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 12 points per game this season, so the Spartans' offense will have their work cut out for them.
