Volleyball Recap: Desert Sunrise Comes Up Short

Desert Sunrise was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Tempe Buffaloes. The Golden Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Buffaloes earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 17-25, 25-14, 25-19.

Desert Sunrise's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Tempe, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-13.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Desert Sunrise is set to challenge their familiar foe Lee Williams at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Tempe will take on rival Prescott at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
