Lexington Catholic came tearing into Wednesday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Lafayette Generals by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Payton Avilez paced Lexington Catholic's offense, picking up 19 kills. Avilez got some help from Charlotte Hall and her 40 assists. Finally, Miller Duncan kept Lexington Catholic's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Lexington Catholic's win bumped their record up to 28-3. As for Lafayette, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-19 record this season.

Lexington Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Paul Laurence Dunbar on the 23rd. Lafayette does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
