Football Recap: Lodi Comes Up Short

Lodi was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Garfield Boilermakers 34-6. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Boilermakers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Lodi's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Garfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lodi is set to take on their familiar foe Palisades Park/Leonia on Friday. Meanwhile, Garfield will challenge rival Becton on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Boilermakers 9.5, the Wildcats 13.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
