Softball Recap: Grafton Has No Trouble Against Bruton

Grafton won the last time they faced Bruton and things went their way on Friday too. The Clippers put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 17-7 victory. With that win, the Clippers brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Alexis Henley was excellent, going 1-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

The victory made it two in a row for Grafton and bumps their season record up to 5-8. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Bruton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grafton will welcome Tabb at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Clippers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Bruton, they will be playing at home against New Kent at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
