Softball Recap: Coalfield Comes Up Short

Coalfield lost against Clinton on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Coalfield came up short against Clinton, falling 10-2.

Madison Jackson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Coalfield's loss dropped their record down to 9-2-1. As for Clinton, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2-1.

Coming up, Coalfield will venture away from home to face off against King's Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Coalfield is facing King's Academy at the right time seeing as King's Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Clinton, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Anderson County on the 22nd.
