Volleyball Recap: Santa Rosa Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against California Military Institute last Wednesday, Santa Rosa Academy came back down to earth. The Rangers fell just short of the Nuview Bridge Knights by a score of 3-2 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in March.

Santa Rosa Academy took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 24-26, 19-25, 25-23, 15-9.

With the loss, Santa Rosa Academy broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6. As for Nuview Bridge, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Coming up, Santa Rosa Academy will face off against Temecula Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Nuview Bridge, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against California Military Institute on the 7th.
