Basketball Recap: Weeping Water Takes a Loss

Weeping Water lost against Auburn back in January of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Weeping Water Indians were dealt a 71-37 defeat at the hands of the Auburn Bulldogs. The Indians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-14.

Weeping Water lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Landon Fulton, who went 5 of 7 to rack up 12 points and five boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in shooting accuracy (71%).

Weeping Water's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Auburn, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

Weeping Water didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 51-31 victory against Palmyra on the 7th. As for Auburn, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-51 win against Johnson County Central on the 7th.
