Sylmar's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 74-58 victory over the Van Nuys Wolves. That 16 point margin sets a new team best for the Spartans this season.

Leading Sylmar to victory were Aiden Garcia and Andrew Galvez. Garcia shot 67% from the field to rack up 22 points and three steals, while Galvez went 7-for-12 en route to 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Galvez is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games he's played. Payton Perez was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Sylmar was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Sylmar's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Van Nuys, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Sylmar wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 72-59 victory against Canoga Park on the 19th. Van Nuys has also already played their next game (against Panorama), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
