Basketball Recap: Watertown Takes a Loss

Watertown was the 55-50 winner over Stevens when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Watertown Arrows fell 56-46 to the Stevens Raiders on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Arrows can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while the Raiders are ranked 13th).

Watertown has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Stevens, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Watertown won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Rapid City Central at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Stevens, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Brookings at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
