Basketball Recap: Southwest Onslow Stallions vs. Kinston Vikings

The Southwest Onslow Stallions put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 69-42 victory over Kinston. Southwest Onslow has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Southwest Onslow was led to victory by Yamorie Hardison and Oriyanna Galloway. Hardison almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds, while Galloway scored 27 points along with seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Galloway has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jade Dollar, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.

Southwest Onslow's win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-0. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29.1 points. As for Kinston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-10.

Southwest Onslow's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Blue Devils at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th. South Lenoir will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 367th, while the Stallions are ranked 34th). As for Kinston, they will head out on the road to challenge the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
