Softball Recap: St. Paul Catholic Has No Trouble Against Kennedy

St. Paul Catholic never got on the board in their matchup on Monday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Kennedy on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Eagles. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by seven runs or more this season.

Julia Kozlak was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Isabella McCulloch was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

St. Paul Catholic's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Kennedy, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. St. Paul Catholic will face off against rival Waterbury Career Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Kennedy is set to challenge their familiar foe Ansonia at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.
