Baseball Game Preview: Central Linn Cobras vs. Culver Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Central Linn will face off against Culver. The Cobras will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.

Central Linn fell victim to Culver and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Cobras haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Central Linn got a good showing from Beau Snyder, who pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. What's more, Snyder gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April.

On the hitting side, Central Linn saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daine Offutt, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

The victory was the tenth in a row for Culver, bringing their record up to 17-2-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Central Linn, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.
