Rowlett had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the South Garland Titans as they made off with a 19-4 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 21-0 back in February.
Baylee Grant made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). What's more, she gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest she's had since back in February. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, Rowlett got a massive performance out of Jordynn Williams, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Williams is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last four games she's played. Audrey Torres was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing seven bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Rowlett always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Garland only posted an OBP of .333.
Rowlett's win bumped their record up to 10-11-1. As for South Garland, their defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9.
Coming up, Rowlett will welcome Naaman Forest at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for South Garland, they will face off against Garland at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. South Garland's pitchers better be ready for this one: Garland has averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season.
