Honeoye Falls-Lima dropped down to 4-6 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They had to suffer through a 40-0 loss at the hands of the Monroe Red Jackets. Having soared to a lofty 43 points in the game before, the Cougars' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Monroe, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. The result was nothing new for the Red Jackets, who have now won eight matchups by 28 points or more so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Monroe to victory, but perhaps none more so than Pooty Cunningham, who rushed for 50 yards and one score, and also threw for 120 yards and one TD while completing 75% of his passes. Those 50 rushing yards gave Cunningham a new career-high. Messiah Hampton was Cunningham's top target, picking up 31 receiving yards, while also rushing for 47 yards and one touchdown.

Honeoye Falls-Lima does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Monroe, they are taking a road trip to take on Lackawanna at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Steelers' defense has only allowed 11.9 points per game this season, so the Red Jackets' offense will have their work cut out for them.
