Basketball Recap: Comer Piles Up the Points Against Johnson

Comer won the last time they faced Johnson and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Comer Catamounts blew past the Johnson Pumas 51-22. The Catamounts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 22 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why Johnson lost, don't look at Destiny Taylor. Despite the final result, she posted 19 points. That was a full 86.4% of Johnson's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points.

Comer's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Johnson, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Comer will face off against Pritzker at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Pritzker: 29.5, Comer: 29.2) so any points scored will be well earned. Johnson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
