Dothan lost against Smiths Station back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Dothan took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Smiths Station. The Wolves' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Gabe Yelverton was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Will Walker, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Dothan's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Smiths Station, they pushed their record up to 10-13 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Dothan will square off against Auburn at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Smiths Station, they will face off against Albertville at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
