Preview: South Central Satellites vs. Tri-Township Tigers
Having just played yesterday, the South Central Satellites will head out on the road to face off against the Tri-Township Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully South Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Thursday.
On Thursday, South Central strolled past Westville with points to spare, taking the game 59-43.
South Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sadie Marks, who scored 21 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists. Hope Welsh was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Tri-Township waltzed into their game on Wednesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They beat Marquette Catholic by the very same score they won with last week: 43-29.
South Central is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Tri-Township, they pushed their record up to 20-1 with that victory, which was their tenth straight on the road.
Things could have been worse for South Central, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 43-29 loss to Tri-Township in their previous matchup on Wednesday. Can South Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
