Baseball Recap: Scranton Prep Cavaliers vs. Abington Heights Comets
Scranton Prep had lost five straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 3-11 to make it six. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Abington Heights Comets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Comets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 on Wednesday.
AJ Croom was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs. Another player making a difference was Reece Vida, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
As for Abington Heights, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games.
