Basketball Game Preview: Gardiner Bruins vs. Shields Valley Rebels

After both having extra time off, the Gardiner Bruins and the Shields Valley Rebels will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Gardiner has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Shields Valley will arrive with six straight wins.

Two weeks ago, Gardiner came up short against Manhattan Christian and fell 56-44.

While Shields Valley didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past White Sulphur Springs, posting a 57-24 victory.

Shields Valley's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Gardiner, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Gardiner ended up a good deal behind Shields Valley in their previous meeting back in February, losing 46-27. Can Gardiner avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
