Basketball Game Preview: Sunbright Tigers vs. Midway Green Wave

The Sunbright Tigers will take on the Midway Green Wave in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Sunbright challenged Oliver Springs on Tuesday. Sunbright took a 54-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oliver Springs. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Midway). They took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 79-42 victory over Coalfield. Winning may never get old, but the Green Wave sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Sunbright's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Midway, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Sunbright didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Midway when the teams last played two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 53-49 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sunbright since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
