Softball Recap: Independence Sets Scoring Season-High Against Solon

Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 11-6 to the Solon Spartans. On the bright side, the six- run effort marked the Mustangs' highest-scoring contest to date.

Independence's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Solon, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Spartans beat Independence by a score of 15-6 later that day.
