Basketball Recap: Maya Comes Up Short

After flying high against West Phoenix last Monday, Maya came back down to earth. The Maya Jaguars fell just short of the Western SciTech Aztec Warrior by a score of 24-21 on Wednesday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-13 last Tuesday.

Maya's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Western SciTech, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way the next time they take the court. Western SciTech will host Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while Maya will host them at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
