Schenck and Penquis Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Wolverines will head out on the road to square off against the Patriots at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Schenck took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They put the hurt on Greenville with a sharp 14-3 win.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Penquis Valley). They were the clear victors by a 21-10 margin over Piscataquis on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won four in a row.

Schenck has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Penquis Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.

Everything went Schenck's way against Penquis Valley in their previous meeting back in April, as Schenck made off with a 16-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
