Volleyball Recap: Medfield Falls Short Against Ranked Bellingham

Medfield faced Bellingham in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Warriors lost 3-0 to the Blackhawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blackhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-10, 25-10.

Ashley Fessenden paced Medfield's offense, picking up five kills. Fessenden got some help from Ava Pender and her 12 assists.

The defeat snapped Medfield's winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 14-3 record. As for Bellingham, they pushed their record up to 15-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Medfield has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Millis on the 22nd. As for Bellingham, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Hopedale on the 22nd.
