Volleyball Game Preview: Lexington Minutemen vs. Weymouth Wildcats

The Lexington Minutemen will take on the Weymouth Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Lexington made easy work of Medford and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Minutemen.

Lexington not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Medford between 13 and 16 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-13, 25-16.

Among those leading the charge was Jake Siegel, who had 20 assists. He is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 12 or more in each of the last nine games he's played.

Meanwhile, Weymouth entered their tilt with Wellesley on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Raiders. The game was the first time the Wildcats have beaten the Raiders on their court since April 28, 2022.

Lexington's win bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Weymouth, they pushed their record up to 14-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
