Softball Recap: Southern Lee Cavaliers vs. Hoke County Bucks

Southern Lee came tearing into Monday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 12-1 margin over the Hoke County Bucks. Southern Lee might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six matches by six runs or more this season.

Albani Hooker spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered one run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than six innings in five consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Natalie Guevara was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and a double while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Carrie Ellen Bryan, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
