Softball Game Preview: Brunswick Dragons vs. Edward Little Red Eddies

Brunswick is 2-7 against Edward Little since May of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Dragons will venture away from home to take on the Red Eddies at 4:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Brunswick is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They fell 8-5 to Medomak Valley. That's two games in a row now that the Dragons have lost by exactly three runs.

Brunswick saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Faith Wallace, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That run was Wallace's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Edward Little's offense. They came up short against Oxford Hills on Friday, falling 11-0. The Red Eddies' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Edward Little's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Brunswick, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Brunswick might still be hurting after the 15-0 loss they got from Edward Little when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Dragons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
