Volleyball Recap: Hoopa Valley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Hoopa Valley lost against Ferndale last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors came up short against the Wildcats, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-13, 25-11.

Wau'Kel Blake paced Hoopa Valley's offense, picking up five kills. Blake got some help from Taelyr Lewis-Tracy and her 14 assists. Naress Crawford controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Hoopa Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-21-1 record this season. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 7-13 South Fork and 6-11 Ferndale (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 44.6% over those games). As for Ferndale, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-13 record this season.

Hoopa Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against St. Bernard's on the 21st.
