Bayfield waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Pagosa Springs Pirates. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Bayfield's got stronger as the match went on, holding Pagosa Springs to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-13, 25-11.

Bayfield can attribute much of their success to Maeli Quintana, who had 11 digs and four aces.

Quintana wasn't the only good servers: Bayfield was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in ten consecutive contests.

Bayfield's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Pagosa Springs, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season.

Bayfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Doherty on the 31st. As for Pagosa Springs, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Palisade on the 31st.
