Horn Lake has gone 8-2 against DeSoto Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Horn Lake Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the DeSoto Central Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. Horn Lake knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matches -- so hopefully DeSoto Central likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Horn Lake against Hernando as the team secured an 87-44 victory. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Tigers are ranked 214th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for DeSoto Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They breezed by Lewisburg to the tune of 68-32 on Tuesday. The Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Horn Lake has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.1 points per game. As for DeSoto Central, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-6.

Horn Lake beat DeSoto Central 70-60 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Horn Lake since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
