Soccer Recap: Kirkwood Victorious

Kirkwood kept a clean sheet against Northwest on Thursday. They came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Kirkwood also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Israel Ortiz and Jamaal Bradley scored both of Kirkwood's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

The win made it two in a row for Kirkwood and bumps their season record up to 7-7. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two games. As for Northwest, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kirkwood will square off against Portland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northwest, they will take on West Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
